2018 Speaker Bio:
Carl, the founder of OL Building Blocks, is entering his second season with the University of Ottawa as their OL coach.
Prior to the GeeGees, Carl helped lead Ottawa Myers Riders to a 32-1 record and 2 OVFL Senior titles from 2013-2015 as their OL coach and run game co-ordinator, setting, and re-setting several league records for offensive production. 7 of Carl's linemen over his tenure at Myers went on to Usports football careers.
Previous to his return to Ottawa, Carl has been the OL Coach at The University of Guelph (2010), the Universite de Montreal (2008) and Universite de Sherbrooke (2005-2007).
He has also been a member of several Team Ontario International Bowl coaching staffs, as well as a guest coach in the CFL with Winnipeg, Calgary and the Ottawa Renegades.
Carl graduated from Carleton University and is a former Raven football player.
Carl started the OL Building Blocks clinic in 2006 while at Sherbrooke as a way to bring together Canadian OL coaches in a learning forum where we could all meet, learn and share ideas. There have been several clinics in the Montreal and GTA areas where speakers from the CIS, CFL and NCAA have brought decades of knowledge to the areas' coaches.
